Advice for installing duct work for finishing basement
Hi,
I am looking for a little help with the duct work that I am adding as I am finishing my basement. I am adding vents to three rooms (bathroom, bedroom, and all purpose room). I am not going to add any new vents to my great room since I will have a fireplace that can heat the area. I am also adding probably two returns in the center of the basement. As I start this process, I am curious to know if there are any tricks that would make cutting out the holes for the vents easier. I am using a couple of takeoffs for two of the rooms. These are not round and they are in very tight spaces where I am having problems using tin snips. I will be using flexible duct for all the rooms. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again. JB |
For tight spaces, off set aviation snips work best.
