adding new radiators to a slab home
Is there a way to install a baseboard hot water heat system in a slab construction that currently has forced air ductwork only? Obviously we can't install pipe in the concrete foundation, but can we install a subfloor and embed the pipes there? Any reasons not to have the local HVAC guys give this a try? Thanks in advance for any answers!

Ayuh,... If your willing to go that far, to 'ell with Baseboard radiation, go with In-floor Radiant
It's state of the art, 'n Miles ahead of baseboard...

Absolutely, it's installed in millions of slab houses. A good HVAC Company can install it no problem.
It's a loop system that goes all the way around the house with dummy base board to hide the pipes and the doorways are trenched out to allow the loop heating pipe to continue through the house. One end starts at the heater and and goes around the house and back to the heater. The loop is drilled through holes in the walls and closets.
