Added water heater to the mix, now what?

Hey guys. The coil on our old Weil-McLain oil boiler wasn't keeping up with the growing household anymore, so we installed a separate hot water heater (gas). We have baseboard heat.

My question is about the aquastat settings. If I'm understanding this correctly, the "LO" setting no longer really matters to me, right? I'm not getting my DHW from it, so I can turn that all the way down, right? And the HI setting is what controls the temp of the water I pump through the baseboards, so I can probably bump that up a bit?

Ayuh,... What are the settings Now,..??

What is your reasoning for changing the Low side,...
It's possibly effecting Nothing at this point,+ changing it Lower, could cause the boiler to run for No reason...

Right now it's at 180 HI, 140 LO, and the DIF is at 20. I was told by an HVAC guy on some other site to turn the LO all the way down or disable it completely. Trying to understand how these settings all work. The way my settings are now, if I'm understanding this, the temp will go down to 120 before the boiler fires up, right? Unless there's a call for heat by the thermostat, in which case it will go up to 180??

Am i way off?
