Add humidifier to outdoor furnace.

Is there a way to add humidifier to the furnace located in the small outdoor non-heated utility room.
My main concern is that water supply pipe will freeze in the winter.
Is there way around it?
Thank you.

Is there an AC outlet in the closet (other than on the furnace)? If so, you could investigate using heat tape.

I'm familiar with the utility closets located on balconies of multi-unit apartments or condos. Is this the case here? How about a water supply? Maybe a hose bib that you could tee off of.

You could alway's try one of the those steam humidifiers, little more money but can make install possible in some locations.

Yes, yes, yes. It is balcony of multi-unit condo.
There is a 110V AC outlet in the closet.
Not sure about water supply. Have to check it later, but closet is right next to the kitchen, so it shouldn't be a problem.

What is the "heat tape"?
