AC Installation Question

The installer did not change the lineset tubing when replacing the AC unit. Previous unit was Freon based and new unit is R410. He said that he had flushed the line with nitrogen and a new line was not necessary. New coil was installed.
Comments please? Thanks

AC Installation Question

Did he install a filter / drier on the liquid line?
I suspect your suction line is undersized. Look at the size at the indoor and outdoor coil, you can see if the fitting has been reduced.

Is your existing lineset concealed?

AC Installation Question

If the lines are sized correctly there should not be any problem. I prefer to flush the lines with a RX11 flush. But in my opinion it is not as big of a issue as some think. Just my opinion.

Using the old lineset isn't a problem.
