AC fan/handler won't cut off??

Ok so I got central AC and I went to switch off my thermostat and I heard what I guess was the compressor shut off, but the fan just kept going, and I can only to get it off when I cut off the breaker..

Nothing that I know has changed, so any ideas of what I can do to fix it where the fan goes off when I turn my breaker back on?

On the thermostat does it have a fan setting for AUTO or ON?

If so is it set to the AUTO selection?

If it is can you post the thermostat brand and did this just start?

So how'd "you get" A/C? Did you DIY or hire it done? If you hired it done get the contractor back out.

How old is the install?

What kind of system?

Did it ever function correctly and for how long?

What changes were made prior to this condition?

Sounds like thermostat or air handler wiring issues to me.

AC fan/handler won't cut off??

I live in an 89 year mobile home. It came with the place.

Not sure what brand, everything is rubbed off/faded really badly..

It's never had a problem till today, then after turning my thermostat to off, the fan kept going for 2+ hours till I cut the electrical to it..

Nothing has been changed with the system, it was serviced 3 months ago and never had any problems with it till this..

My thermostat is a Hunter brand, model # 44155C. The fan was setting was set to on.

Everyone is entitled to a bad day every now and then. Some of us only have eight days a week of them. Have a great day, David
