$59 "vent free" heater for garage?

I saw these on Northern Tool. I thought it would be nice to heat the garage in the winter when I am sometimes doing projects there. Basically somewhere I can make a mess, assemble stuff, without freezing my hands off. This would only be when I'm working there and generally if this is the case, it means nobody else is home. Regardless, the problem is the garage is underneath the living room. I don't like the idea of whatever fumes going up and into our home. Thoughts?

For starters carbon monoxide doesn't necessarily rise. If you are talking about the Mr.Heater it will be fine in the garage while you are working.I would not trust them in a bedroom while sleeping though.

Go Electric

Your best bet is an electric garage heater.

Clean, safe, easy heat.
