24volt wiring question

Hello,

For some reason our a/c interruptible wires are disconnected. If someone could help me understand I would appreciate it. Above the meter for the a/c is an enclosure with thermostat wire. There red, blue, white and green. It goes to a box above which I would believe is the radio device which just has a blue and red wire leading to the box below. Can someone please tell me how to connect these wires to which?

Someone probably disconnected them because they got tired of not having A/c when its 95 outside.

Should be a diagram there on teh box. i haven't messed with one for a while, so i don't remember what wires where.

Do not have a clue what you are talking about. Post some pictures of the issue at hand.

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?

That should be the POCO's thing to do.
I've never seen what you are talking about myself.

I know what you are talking about now.
I have never been inside either.

Agreed, that is a radio controlled switch installed by your power company. During periods of high demand they can cycle off your A/C to shed load on the system.

Can you please tell me which 24 volt wires get connected from the radio control unit to the 24 volt wires coming from the a/c?

No, I can't. I have never seen the inside of one. As stated above, they are installed by the power company.

Are you talking about a setup the utility installed to be able to cut off your a/c remotely during times of extremely electricity high demand?

Is there a label on the radio control box that names the wires? It would help the guys here if you would post pictures.

PEPCO came around and wanted to install one of those on mine and I declined. I just set my a/c back with the thermostat during the day and don't want them mucking with it.
