1994 Comfortmaker RPJII

burntgoose Newbie   Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 4	1994 Comfortmaker RPJII Burners were short cycling. Filter was very dirty and inside of furnace compartments were very dusty. I cleaned everything and installed a new filter and igniter. Furnace fires and keeps running now. Since it is summer I'm not comfortable this is a permanent fix! Could this have been the problem?

yuri Hvac Pro   Join Date: Nov 2008 Location: Winnipeg, Canada Posts: 6,607	1994 Comfortmaker RPJII That furnace has a bad history of cracked heat exchangers. Which may have been made worse by a lack of airflow/overheating. I would get a experienced tech to check it for safety reasons.
