1989 Heil furnace question

The blower motor runs continuously. Is this a pressure switch problem?

No. Post the model #. ANY 20 yr old Heil should be THOROUGHLY checked for a cracked heat exchanger. Is the burner working/producing heat?

Is the thermostat fan switch set to ON, should be at AUTO. Did you replace the thermostat recently. If not the relay and circuit board may be faulty. Before I spend $$ on it the heat exchanger should be inspected. Lots of failures with them.

Not sure, would have to get him to post pics of the burner area and above it. Sold a G71-70 and XC16 A/C yesterday. Nice stuff, over $10,000 sale. Too bad I don't get the salesguys commission.

Some of those dial type limits have a white knob that turns the fan on all the time. Don't remember if pushed in is on or pulled out is on. Change the position if it has one.

Yuri- Our electric company is doing their $500 per ton rebate again this year on high Seer equiptment so that will help next month. Last year they had that program, the $1000 back from Lennox and the $1500 tax credit all at the same time. Same thing this year which is sweet. The combined programs saved our customers over $250K in replacement cost last Feb and kept the change out crews very busy. Most were G71's or G61's and Xp19 combo's. No commission for us either.

Post some pics of the burners and furnace with both doors off. There are dozens of different Heil/ICP units and variations of them. The ventor fan pushes the smoke to the chimney if that type is yours. The dial type fan/limit control may be sticking or the contacts welded shut or a fan relay is faulty depending on your model.

Marty;
It is either a feast or famine for the salesguys and I am not sure I could put up with all the tire kickers and arzh*les who want to give you the "hairy eyebrow" and nickel and dime to death. We have LONG term customers who pay a bit extra but we silicone all joints and do TOP notch work. I may do sales if the knees give out.
