1/4 hp condenser motor??

Just bought a universal condenser motor and it wires up diff from my old one. It now has a xtra green/yellow (ground?) and I dont know to run it to?? It connected to a motor mount bolt on one end and the other end?? Help? Im in Dallas and my air cond being off isnt going to be nice soon. lol. Thanks

2nd question. The shaft doesnt fit the fan, can I file it??

Andrew,

The ground wire is always supplied for aftermarket replacement motors. However, since your motor is mounted by the thru bolts directly to the steel top discharge fan guard it is no necessary to use the ground lead. Your motor will be properly grounded once you securely mount it.

It looks like you had to hacksaw the shaft to the correct length. This is not an issue. Go ahead and file the burr off the end of the shaft until your fan blade can slide past that point.
