Recently we added some concrete steps through our lawn to the city sidewalk. They look nice. We also had about 6 inches of grass area cleared out on each side of the step to make way for running flower beds along the steps. I want to now include bubblers along these strips and want to tie the lines into an existing line that runs at the base of the steps.

So my question is this....would you recommend using a snap on T for adding my new line to the existing one, or would you say I should cut the existing line and add a conventional pvc t?

What are the benefits of each? And how the hell do you exactly add a snap on T anyway?

Right, I was thinking of doing just that. I'll take my digital camera home today and take some pictures so that I can better show what I'm dealing with. I still think a standard T is best for the job because I sure as heck don't want any leaks.

My solution

Sorry for not posting the pictures. I actually didn't take them. But I took all weekend to finish the job of installing the bubblers. I tied them in with a standard T. However, I used a Union coupling to install the T since I was not able to move the line I was connecting into in any way. All thanks to my dad for that suggestion (the Union Coupling). It was a lifesaver. Now I have to level the ground on the planting area, make some steps on the ground to go along with the steps of concrete and level those areas as well. Phew, lot of stuff to do before even thinking of adding plants to the area. Once it's completed, I will definitely post here again with pictures. I will definitely have it completed by next weekend.
