yard drainage

I have clay soil that does not drain, when we get heavy rain,it puddles terribly and encroaches to my home. I am not able to gain any more slope .

yard drainage

Can you add some fill dirt to elevate your yard? Can you ditch the yard to someplace lower? When it rains, the water is flowing somewhere, can you encourage it by a combination of the fill and ditching ideas? How about seeing where the low point of the yard is and building a pond? Let evaporation take care of the excess water.
