Worx trimmer Lithium ion battery

I use the WORX WA3520 20-Volt MAX Lithium Battery on my Worx trimmer. Why does the charger light stay green instead of red when I put my dead battery on it? Today I waited about 15 minutes and tried again and it worked, the charger turned red which means its charging the battery.

Was the battery warm from use? My charger (not worx) does the same thing if the battery is too warm/hot.

That's gotta be it then. How long do you let it cool before charging?

My instructions say to "let cool before recharging".

With that said, sometimes it starts to recharge right away even when warm.

Sometimes when going a bigger project I'll put the battery in the freezer when it's hot to cool it down so I can get it charging without having to wait so long for it to cool

I use a 20v Worx battery on my charger (original battery is 18v and it works fine.)
