Weedwacker problems


using a craftsman weedwacker, starts up fine, but when its moved to run or i hit the throttle to give it gas it kicks out...

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Weedwacker problems


90% of the time it's the carb dirty. Rebuild it or replace the whole thing.
You did dump the old last years fuel and add new fresh fuel, right?

Actually I did not remove the old gas, guess thst could be a problem...
would cleaning it work?

2-cycle gas (mixed with oil) is notorious for crapping up over the winter.

I'd suggest you start by dumping out the old gas, and putting in new gas/oil. If you can get the weed wacker to start at all, that's your best best. Let it run at idle as long as it will, slowly try to increase the speed after it warms up. There's a good possibility that the new gas will clear stuff out and the thing will be fine.

If not, you'll need to pull the carb apart and clean it.
