Weed killer and drilled well
I have a drilled well that is about 200' deep. It is located on my front lawn, which currently isn't seeded. I'm going to seed the lawn, and eventually will need to spray it for weeds. I read that if your well is located on your lawn you shouldn't use weed spray as it could contaminate the well. Is this true? And if so are there products available that you could use to kill weeds and not put the well in jeopardy? Thanks.

there are companies that sell all "green" lawn and garden stuff, like weed killers, fertilizers, and even japanse beetle treatments, but i can't think of any of the names at the moment. google "chemical free fertilizers" or " all natural weed killers" and I'm sure you will get some hits

Or you can just mow high, water infrequently and deeply, and weed by hand. I'm not a fan of putting any chemicals on my lawn where my kids and pets play, and the well is an even better reason to keep it natural.

Your well is 200 feet deep? I think you would be able to apply weed killer like roundup very safely with no contamination problems at that depth. Follow the label directions, but in reality you won't be using that much weed killer. You just need to contact the plant, not soak it until it drowns in weed killer.
