weed eater carb.

I rebuilt the carb on my weed eater because i had let it set up for a full year. After I put it back together and checked for any air leaks (where the tubes go into the tank) I am still drawing air thriugh my primer bubble. The weed eater will crank up and run for a couple seconds and then shut off. Why is this happening?

Degraded fuel line sucking air in somewhere? Ethanol is hard on such components.

Your fuel is fresh? Buying the premixed two cycle fuel is best even though pricey. Once you get this thing going.

That is what I though first also. So, I replaced all three feul lines and the rubber stopper still with no result. The only thing that Ican come up with is that the two valves that actuate the primer bulb are not sealing correctly. When I push the primer bulb you can hear the air blowing and sucking through the throat of the carb. What would cause this. I am new at this but very knowedgable about many different things. My strong points are carpentry and flooring and would be happy to help any one if I could.
