under 1 year cedar deck. grey

About 10 months ago we put in a new cedar deck. It was sealed. 10 months later the deck is a ugly grey colour. Seems like a waste of money. Is this normal. did it get sealed wrong. Is there anything we can do to return the rich warm colour of cedar?

There is not much you can do. Once it turns gray your pretty much stuck with it.

did you try deck cleaner on it? I built a cedar picnic table and sealed it with an all natural Soy based product. I was very disappointed when it turned gray, figured it was the shortcoming of trying to go green.
I got a clorox based deck cleaner at HD, and scrubed with a brush. Table cleaned up pretty well
