Solar Landscape Lighting - Any generate REAL light?

I would like to install some new landscape lighting, and much prefer to use just solar lights, however, every time I see solar landscape lights around the neighborhood, they always seem to generate a very weak, usually blue-ish, light. My main issue is the weak pathetic nature of the lighting. Given only these, I'd need to stick with regular wired lighting.

Even at the home centers, you see the solar lights just generate this low crappy blue light. Is this market simply not up to snuff yet?

Are there solar landscape/deck lights that will generate attractive decently-bright, white, lighting, unlike the usual solar lights? Is there a certain keyword I should be looking for in a solar landscape light product that will tell me this one of a different nature?

Thanks.

I DO remember seeing them somewhere, we may have even been discussing them here. But they do exist. Bigger batteries and white LEDs provide better landscape lighting. Of course, until I see them Made in USA, I won't buy them. Po)

I don't have a recommendation on good solar lights except to caution against the ones you have seen. They do not work for long, the technology just isn't in them yet. Just didn't want you to decide they are good enough and get them, you won't be happy, better to lay line. I'll talk to my lighting rep and let you know what he says.

Thanks, I would appreciate that!

And yes, no way I'm going to buy those low-light/blue-light ones. Will do line lighting if I can't find a solar setup that offers good looking, quality, light.

I'd look into solar LED paver lights. The solar lights that stake into the ground are typically poor quality and won't last a year.

Feel free to pm me if you'd like more info.

good luck!
