so here is new post(tar'd) and rail...1991


and in 2012 some of the posts are wabbly (kid wear) but most are solid still .rails maybe two a year tops

so here is new post(tar'd) and rail...1991


the posts were the big concern put some on surgical gloves right into the tar bucket then a week in the direct summer sun 120F sun and it was like they were dipped in liquid plastic hope others use this tip if planning any PT/pine wood into the ground...the post 3' down was solid and the rails weigh nothing... not like a 6' piece of pine stockade and the post holding up 2 section on a run out.

That is the type of fence we want, I love the look of weathered wood especially that corner post that is so well weathered. Thanks for sharing, looks great.

buy yourself some spare rails and they weather pretty fast and birds, cats, insects are a favorite spot to hang....the post is a killer to replace i have EMT tinwall hammered in to some till i get ambitious and some saturday with beers goin' on 2 summers/winter it gets weather'd ...just dream about doing it and its better then a sleeping pill or stuck in traffic in rush hour...
