Snow Thrower or Snow Blower
 

C'mon. The reality of the fact is that it's a snow thrower. Nothing is being blown. There is no fan that blows air into snow to launch it anywhere. It's a snow blower if you use your leaf blower to blow away a dusting of snow.

What there is, is either a single stage paddle that pushes snow into a hole that throws it a distance from a chute.

Or, there's a two stage model where an auger drives snow towards an impeller that throws the snow through a chute.

Yes, a snow thrower.

I've ALWAYS called it a snowblower.

I'm gonna go throw the driveway.

If you Google Snowthrower, you'll either get a snowblower or a single stage thrower.

Again, the machine does not blow snow.
