Sidewalk Edger

Does anyone have a recommendation for a gas powered lawn edger? I have a large yard with a lot of sidewalk timming required. I have a Stihl string trimmer but it isn't easy to use by the sidewalk to get a nice straight cut.

Thanks

Sidewalk Edger

When I bought mine, there were a limited amount of choice. I didn't want to spend a fortune and I didn't want something big. I got a Weedeater 8 1/2 - inch edger from Lowe's. I have been very happy with it.

I have one from Sears (about 30 years old) very similar to this one:

You'll fly through toughest stuff with this kind of edger. A bit pricey, but you'll never be disappointed IMO.

Sidewalk Edger

I bought this one from Walmart (online-shipped to my house). It does the job and I am happy with it

Walmart

I should add that I needed a smaller unit because in my back yard I have several grassy areas surrounded by concrete mow strips and I can easily run this edger on top of the strip

I'd try Lowe's or Home Depot -- both have good online stores.
