separating leaves and branches from bark nuggets
I have a question for all of the experts on here. I've been pondering a solution for a while and haven't come up with a good one.
Around the edges of my back yard I have bark nuggets which are covering landscape fabric. I have various bushes and full size trees. With the leaves, pine needles and branches, I now have a layer of mulch over top of it. The problem is that bark nuggets are expensive at $80/yard, so I want to clean up the yard leaving as much of the nuggets as possible. Any ideas on how to separate the nuggets from the rest? I'd say they are about 2"+ in size. Thanks! |

Try this as an experiment, lay a tarp next to area and use a rake to toss the material onto the tarp. Once somes piled up have two people lift the tarp and rock it back and forth to see if it seperates the material out.
I have never tryed it, just an idea of something to try. |
