Sandstone patio with holes

I hired a landscaper who has done a great job-- but today the sandstone patio was put down. There are 12 two inch holes throughout the entire patio and the landscaper told me sometimes they are given sandstone with holes from blasting and it was normal? I need some advice to know how to proceed. I think it looks like second hand stone. Please help...

Sandstone patio with holes

.What type of pavers? Square? Octagon? Irregular shapes? If irregulars they should have been cut to avoid the holes. I never would have used the ones with holes. Unless there was a certain look we were going for, such as laid in grass as a path, with grass growing around each stone and through the holes. In that case, I would get the client's explicit consent before using the ones with holes.

I would never use them in a soli patio or path application. Can you post pics?

Sandstone patio with holes

For antique type look patio, cracks here or there is normal... but two inches holes are way too big if you are talking about approx 2" diameter circlular hole.... I would request the installer to replace those pavers...

but then you may need to post some pictures to verify if those holes are real big "holes" or just normal stuff...

If you requested a patio with holes then you got what you wanted. Otherwise I'd tell the guy to fix it before I'd pay him a dime. I don't care what he told you. Sounds like he got a deal on sandstone and is feeding you a line.
