Riding Lawnmower, Wrong Firing
I have a Murray 14hp riding mower, here is the deal, i removed all the safety switches, clutch, deck, and seat switches, it turns over, as on most engine when the engine is being tured over it is firing at the same time, well now mine fires when you let go of the key, then it backfires real loud, it is firing after the starter stops spinning, could someone help me is there a wire that needs to be somewhere

Riding Lawnmower, Wrong Firing
Thats a new one on me. Maybe the clutch switch is a momentary switch and is causing problems because the switch is now bypassed and cannot open or operate as it should. Just a guess.

Could you maybe get a second opinion to make sure, could i run a wire from where the switch was to the solenoid and be okay, could i fiddle with the wiring until i get it to fire right

I'm not sure if these safety switches are wired to the solenoid/relay. I'm thinking they are wired to the frame and work as a ground to not allow the engine to start. Like grounding the plug wire to the frame with a screwdriver.
What did you do with the wire ends/plugs to the switches?
When you say deck switch, do you meant theblade engage/disengage switch?

Which wire? Where?
Must have been part of kill switch by grounding out to the frame.

I believe it was a yellow wire that was used on one of the safety switches
