Retaining Wall

Hey I Was Told To Come To This Web Site For Some Help. I Am Going To Be Installing A Split Block Retaining Wall And Caps On Top But I Dont Know How To Figure Out How Much Block I Need Is There Some Special Way Or Equation To Figure This Out If Someone Could Tell Me That Would Be Great.

Square foot of wall x 1.125 = number of 8 x 8 x 16 split face block. Length of wall x 12 divided by 16 = number of 2-1/4 (or 4 or 1-5/8) x 8 x 16 cap units. Figure 5% overage for waste, minimum, and expect to keep any overage, as the supply house will probably not take it back.

If you are using a segmental retaining wall unit (as you should), find out the size and calculate it using those dimensions.
