I have two fence posts that have rotten out at the bottom. I've replaced many a fence post, but the problem here is they are set in a concrete cub that runs the length of the fence. I don't want to have to cut and jackhammer out the concrete around these two posts, but I can't see how i can reuse the existing post holes. Any suggestions? Thanks.
If they are concrete all the way down you are going to have your work cut out for you. I had some like this they poured a driveway over. I took the largest drill bit I have and extensions and removed as much wood as I could. I then set steel posts in since there is no way to get wood ones back in the hole. Filled it all in with concrete and hope I am not the one who has to replace those if they get damaged.
High density foam is even used to set utility poles.
