relocate sprinkler heads

I need to relocate a few. They are along the edge of my property. The grass died there thanks to a neighbor's tall leyland's shade, so I cut out the grass and put pine straw. This band is about 14 feet wide. I plan to put a shed and store a pop-up camper there.

Problem is that if I do - the current sprinker heads near there will soak them from behind and the actual grass beyond won't get watered.

So is it a simple matter of getting a shovel, digging it up, removing the head, running new PVC, and reburying where I want the heads?

In other words - I'd leave the runs going to their current location - but then put an elbow or T joint and extend them horizontally under the ground out 14 feet to their new location.

You want to keep your runs as direct as possible as you lose pressure with each t or elbow. This may not be an issue but rather than coming off the runs you no longer need, I would move everything forward the 14 feet. It won't take you that much longer to dig a new trench.

yes it is that easy...use what is called funny pipe and the fittings that go with it. You can get it at home depot or lowes, I included a link as an example. You could use PVC, but having been in the business the funny pipe is WAY easier. Let me know if you have any other questions.
