ran over a small cable riding yardman

I was out on my yardman riding lawnmower and ran over a old dog run cable. It immediatly killed the mower. I pulled out as much cable as I could . I put the mower in nuetral but it wouldnt start. I put it in the garage. How do I get it up to look at it?

When you say "neutral" do you mean transmission, or the deck?

Either way, you need to get one side of the mower lifted and onto blocks. It's best to lift the side of the discharge chute. Then get under there and make sure everything is cleaned out from under the deck.
