Rain water management system
My driveway has a slight tilt down to the garage doors and during heavy rain water gets in the garage. Nothing major just not the best situation.
Did a little searching on the web and found a system you dig into the driveway in front of the doors that allows you to channel the water away. http://www.acousa.com/homedrain/raindrain.htm Anybody have any experience with these? Live in CT and was wondering about freezing and any problem supporting the weight of cars. Thanks |
If you throw the water off to one side I've seen guys come in with comcrete cutters and put a 6" wide 1"-2" deep trench in front of the door and then you drop in a steel or aluimiun grate. You just need to have the grate before hand so you're sure of you dimensions

Wait until you see a price for that trench drain!

That's why I recommeded the cut. How much is that in per foot. It's got to be cheaper than that system.
