Rain water management system
 

My driveway has a slight tilt down to the garage doors and during heavy rain water gets in the garage. Nothing major just not the best situation.

Did a little searching on the web and found a system you dig into the driveway in front of the doors that allows you to channel the water away.

Anybody have any experience with these?
Live in CT and was wondering about freezing and any problem supporting the weight of cars.

If you throw the water off to one side I've seen guys come in with comcrete cutters and put a 6" wide 1"-2" deep trench in front of the door and then you drop in a steel or aluimiun grate. You just need to have the grate before hand so you're sure of you dimensions

Wait until you see a price for that trench drain!:eek:

That's why I recommeded the cut. How much is that in per foot. It's got to be cheaper than that system.
