Prune Knock Out Roses
I live in North Georgia Zone 7B. I had a regular person that did all my
pruning for me but I guess he does not want to do it any longer because he
will not return my calls.
Is it too late to pruce back my knock out roses. They are too tall and the
rains we have had have caused t hem to lay over on the ground.
Can I prune them back and still have them to bloom this season.
If so give me details.
You may be late but you cannot leave them as they are anyhow right? I would get a good book on pruning roses from the library. Or try search for instructions through Google images for your variety?
Cut back all the old growth for sure and then back to leaves at the length you want. It is hard for me to explain without pictures. If you send some close ups I will try to mark them up for you.
Do invest in a good sharp set of pruners and dip them in clorox between cuts since roses are so prone to diseases and things.
