Problems with rocks in backyard

We just moved into a new home that has red rocks in the backyard. They turn my kids and dogs feet an orangey color and in turn my floor and carpet are constantly dirty. I am tired of cleaning the carpet and mopping every day. Has anyone had this problem before? Will everything eventually settle or will I need to get new rocks? I appreciate any advice!

I would get rid of the rocks or relocate them to a low traffic area. I have the same type of rocks, but put them under where my AC units are, since it's hard to grow grass and weeds usually grow there. Sometimes the rocks are painted red/orange, while other times they are natural. It'll be awhile or never until the color is all gone.
