pond

Ayuh,... I guess you Can,...
The results will depend on the local ground structure, 'n the height of the water table in your area...

pond

This will require a geotechnical survey to determine your water table height.

I have build several koi ponds. If its a relatively small pond, say less than 10,000 gallon I would go with a 20 or 40 mil pond liner. If it is like a pond for cows to drink out of then search for a low water table.
