I'm redoing the flower bed in my back yard and I'm looking for ideas of plants to use. I live in central Oklahoma. I normally like smaller plants, but I'm open to any ideas.

Here is the area in which I'm working...

I redid the front a few years ago. Here is what it looks like...

Creeping phlox especially on the perimeter.

Thanks kyassassin. I'll check them out.

Just something else to add...I want to stick with perennials.

Is that a Japanese Maple on that front corner?

My reason for asking is that I would strongly suggest one consider the mature size of any plant material, especially when placed near a building. It could be moved next fall after it goes dormant without any problem.

So many perennials to chose from, so little space!
Maintenance preferences?

I'm thinking some small evergreens (shrubs?) at the wall for a framework. Bulbs, irises; groundcover at the front; rudbeckia, shasta daisy, coneflower.
