Paver Patio
Planning to do a paver patio.
Our yard is tiny, probably no more then 20 ft from the back door to the rear fence, so drainage is key. We will be sloping the patio away from the house.
I was wondering if it would be over kill to add French drains around the perimeter of the house foundation and at the end of the patio and have them link up with the drains already installed in the ground to take the rain water away from the gutters.

if your not changing the existing grade thats there now and your not currently having any drainage issues I wouldn't see the need to add the french drains

The paved surface, when pitched will shed the water better,+ quicker than a rough grade......

I'd be more concerned about where the water ends up at the bottom of the pitch,....
Does that area drain well,..??

Hi Bondo,
The ground already has some drainage pipes installed and right now the water drains away from the house and into those spots without any pooling near the home.

In that case,... Yor pavers should shed the water to the exact same place,....

No Problem......
