patio and pergola project

havoc0331 Newbie   Join Date: Apr 2011 Posts: 1	patio and pergola project good day. i recently finished laying a paver patio on my back yard and now want a pergola to cover 2 thirds of it. it is on the back of my house and is 11 feet out and 25 feet wide.the part i am struggling with now is whether to use 6x6 posts or 4x4 posts. and if i use 6x6 posts, will 2x6 joists look too small? if i use 4x4 posts will the entire thing look too top heavy. the pergola will be 12ft x 16ft. thank you for your input.
