i was given some chairs with that type material. the giver told me to get new material for them. he said they can be bought online, to exactly fit.

i think i am going to buy chairs like yours, as mine do not stack.

I've used this stuff for over 20 years, I've used it on life jackets, sails, chairs, flags, ECT. and it works great.

What is green, Irish and just sits on your lawn all day?

Patty o'Furniture.

Sorry could not resist.

If you know the make and model you should be able to find replacement fabric. Nothing you can do to strengthen worn and sun damaged material.

If all else fails? Drag them to your local auto upholstery or even interior restoration upholstery shop. They will do them up nice for you and cheaper than you might think.

I like the looks of them.

I have used fabric from this site:

http://www.patiodirectonline.com/Replacement_Slings.htm

or Google Replacement sling -

It can be difficult to re-stretch the fabric without the special tool - but I rigged up a piece of wood to stretch to get the support pieces back in place.
