Overseeding

Moved in new house where builder put sod down for me for about a month ago. Since than I have watered everyday or everyother day. Lawn looks good now. But there is a little bit of gap in between sod. I feel like to overseed to cover.
When is the best time to do it? Should I put some soil down or something?
I really like to have my lawn thick and green like everyone wish.

Help!!!!!!!
