over fertilized lawn, now what?

I put down way too much fertilizer and burned 3/4 of my lawn. Will the brown turn back to green from watering? What do I need to do to get my lawn back? Tucson, AZ

At this point, if the lawn is only burned so far on top, irrigate very thoroughly. If it's already dead, you will be just wasting water. How long ago did you do this? How much rain/water since?
