Old Clay Pipe

I have some big old clay pipes underground that I have to break and partially pull up to put in piping for a new dry well. (They go to old dry wells that no longer function).

Will a sledgehammer work, or do I need to rent a chain cutter somewhere?

Old Clay Pipe

They will break easily with a hand maul or a sledge----you need not rent anything special---
