New Week In Yard

I am in North Texas exactly Carrollton TX and this year is the first time I have seem this type of week. Have attached photo. It's somewhat course when walking on it as that's how I noticed it. It's flat type and has a funky odor.
I am giving up with all the weed identification on the web and didn't seem to be able to find it.

I have pulled about 50 of these guys in the yard and they always come out easily with the roots intact, if that helps! Have also taken it to HD and Lowes garden and look at me about the same way they do in the paint department!

Appreciate your time

Jim

New Week In Yard

I run into the same thing at H.D. Seal it up in a plastic bag and take it to a local nursery. My nursery can identify everything.
