New Vinyl Gate install

Just want to get opinions on whether I am being too picky. Contractor installed my new vinyl gate and fence, the gate was installed 3/8" lower than the fence because the installers did not take the time to line it up prior to installing it. Background, this was a replacement gate as the last was damaged and they installed it anyhow. The first gate was level with the fence, but damaged. Can't seem to win here, I mean it can't be that hard?

I can diffinately understand your point of view. However, I wouldn't worry too much about 3/8 of an inch. Barely noticeable. Most people wouldn't even notice. Just my opinion. Can you post a picture of the gate and fence so we can see what you're talking about? Thanks.

If it bothers you that much or looks very noticable, you could call them back and tell them you are not satisfied with the way the gate was installed. I'm sure a good reputable company will make it right to win your customer satisfaction.

Old holes stripped out so they had to move it to get the screws to grab?

vinyl Gate

If there is a grade in the surrounding area the installer may have adjusted the height to avoid ground contact when the gate is fully open. Does the gate work properly now? Is this gate installed to avoid the root cause of the previous gate failure?
