new front walk

this is what i did today. the upper teir, the lower stayed as is was. there ussed to be a drive on that side of the house, so the walk went out that way. no use for it now, and i want more grass. which leads to my question. where i removed the pavers, there is sand and stones. can i just put dirt over that, or do i have to remove it ? its about 4" of fill if i just filled it.

the new walk section. i didn't try to make it perfect, but it does look pretty good.

You might be able to grow grass there if you feed it 3 meals per day of Miracle growand it would still be a miracle. I recommend removing it and replacing with GOOD top soil and not something some business cleaned from a culvert pipe and called top soil.

Walkway looks nice.

As Fairview said, most grass needs at least a few inches of good topsoil unless you want to constantly be babying it.

well, like i said. to just fill it in, would be over 4".

i don't have a problem digging that out. except for moving it to where idk yet.

Just till it to loosen it up and put 4 inches of black topsoil over it. As long as water can percolate down through it you should be fine. I have one of those little Honda tillers and the thing is amazing for its size, it would chew this right up.
