Neighbors gutters pushing water near my foundation.
Is there any code issues if my neighbours gutters face towards my home and push a large amount of water near my home causing puddling that don't normally happen around my foundation. I am concerned about water problems since they just recently did the gutters.

Ayuh,... Donno 'bout Granville, but generally, Ya, yer responsible for run-off from yer property...
Have ya spoke to 'em 'bout it,..?? that's usually the 1st step... |
Yeah they are not the type of people to listen to what I am trying to do. Have tried that part. My next though was code enforcement.

Just trying to keep as much water off my property as I can. The water for my roof is enough without the neighbours shooting their water over on my yard.

Your yard is probably lower than theirs. When were the homes built? Where does you roof drainage go and how much does it contribute to what is in your yard?

Homes have been here about 30 years yes mine is lower but never noticed till they installed gutters and faced the drains towards my home.

You need to regrade the land so, after the water pours out of your neighbor's gutters against your foundation, it does not stay there.
Nothing to do with your neighbor. The water from your own roof is not supposed to stay there either. |
how far apart are the houses, and how far is the end of their gutter away from your house ? pics

Maybe work with them, in installing a large enough tile to take the water from both your downspout and theirs, and use a common run to push it down away from the homes, under the ground. Or the other, is if they go half on materials, and help with labor if they are capable, maybe both of you could lay two sets of drain tile for both homes, just off the split of the property line.

Not that I would do it....but if someone were to take can of Great Stuff (expanding foam) and point the nozzle up the rain gutter....give it a good squirt....it would stop the water from gushing out....
But like I said, it's not something 'I' would do.... |
