Hi all,
Since I moved into my newly purchased home in May, I have been trying to get rid of this tree plague. Needless to say, I feel like I am loosing the battle. I got rid of a very large tree and had the roots removed. I thought this would be enough but I still have these small trees poping up all over my yard. Some from new seeds and others from the roots (roots that extended through out the yard) that remained from the old tree. I have tried everything that gets sold at Homedepot or Lowes. I have applied the "Round Up' concentrated up to 3 times the recommended amount on some of these. It burns the plant but a week after the same root will grow a brand new and very green plant. Ever since I moved here I have been digging these things almost weekly from the root hoping that some day these will start to desapear... but I don't see much progress. I am tired and frustrated. I really need some help to figure out how can I poison these things to finally get rid of them. I don't care if I won't be able to plant or grow any new plants for a while. I just want to get rid of these things.
I just can't do any landscaping until I make sure I get rid of this "plague".
I live in Southern California if that makes any difference on how to deal with this tree plague.
