natural spring
 

I have a natural spring that runs all year long into a swampy area. I would like to create a fountain but am not sure how to do that. Any ideas?

There are more than one type of spring----in order to build a fountain without a pump
You will need and artesian (sp) well---one that gushes up higher than the ground level--

They are rare and often seasonal---a neighbor had the cap off a shallow well ,one spring day--the water shot up 3 feet above the well cap----that would have fed a fountain nicely----But when the water table dropped --the water was well below the cap---
