Montauk Daisy ..fall is here on L.I.


I am near the lake so spared a bit longer. First light frosts are hitting the burbs and open land though.

Where you are, it is time to put a Billy Joel album on and wait for the first N'Easter to hit.

I wish when I lived in NYC I had had time to explore LI more. Montauk people I knew kept trying to get me out fishing and I just couldn't take the time. I sailed with friends on the CT side of LI only once. I don't think I would do well in the Hamptons although I was invited to things there too. I just don't like places where you can be stopped and arrested if you can not produce adequate driver's license, insurance and net worth statements! And adult frat boys and sorority sisters sharing and destroying an historic home is not my thing either.
