Maintenance question on Pea gravel deck

We have some mildew and moss on couple of small Pea gravel decks.

1. How do you clean them without damaging the decks?
I did researched and it sounds like regular mildew bleach cleanser might
harm the adhesive of deck.

Already, some of little gravel is coming off from the deck as it is getting
old.

2. How do you recoat the surface to strengthen the gravel from coming off?
Is it something DIY or do I need to hire professional?

If I need to hire, is it the deck company or landscape company?

Thanks in advance.

Maintenance question on Pea gravel deck

You might check the website or call customer service at Abatron and see what they say about your situation. They have great products and support. You can ask honestly if you can do the project yourself.

My concern is that if the material binding the gravel has cracked and moisture has gotten in and encouraged mold growth you should probably call someone who does these sort of decks to remedy that and put on a new binder/coating.

Maintenance question on Pea gravel deck

If you have an epoxy coating with Pea Stone imbedded in it your out of luck trying to fix it. Once it starts to fail it's all over and can not be fix.

Always go with exposed agrigate concrete instead.

There's other mildicides avalible that are sold in Lowes and Home Depot. I've seen then in the paint area.
