Low level deck ... posts or deck blocks?
Im about to start building a low-level deck (about a foot off the ground). I was wondering what would be the perfered method for the foundation.
Concrete deck blocks (sitting on old concrete slabs)
or digging holes for 4"x4" posts to be concreted into?
I live in northern Ontario and am subject to a bit of heaving from frost.
The deck blocks sound a bit easier for installation, but I image quite a bit more difficult to get a perfect level, and I am guessing they would be more susceptible to frost
