LED Bayonet Bulbs?

Having moved into a house that has path lighting installed along the front walk, I'm finding I have to replace the 3 bulbs in the 3 lamps way too often.

The lamps are 12vdc and use bayonet SC bulbs. Its driving me nuts buying and installing bulbs all the time. I could, of course, set the timer to provide less lighting... only 8 hrs per night rather than 12 hrs, but that doesn't seem right and is only a marginal improvement. The Philips 13w bulbs from the big box store only are rated at 700 hours. Those would only last 2-3 months.

There has to be an LED based solution that can last a significant time longer, no?

Does anyone know of an LED based bulb that will work in the SC Bayonet fittings? If need be, I can certainly replace the bases to match whatever bulbs there are, but I'd like to not have to do that much modding.

LED Bayonet Bulbs?

I did a Google search and got this. http://www.google.com/search?q=SC+Ba...ient=firefox-a

Try some of these links and get a few for a trial. I suggest going to an auto parts store and see if they have any.
